Disneyland Just Opened Its First Craft Brewery

A kid-friendly environment with adult-friendly amusements

Nothing says “The Happiest Place on Earth” like 50 craft beers and a beer garden.

Disneyland just opened its first ever brewery in the Downtown Disney District of Anaheim, adding San Diego-based Ballast Point Brewing Company to its latest attractions. The 7,000-square-foot brewery and restaurant offers over fifty brews, while serving up Ballast Point classics like Sculpin IPA (“The best fruited beer in the game don’t @ me,” says our Editor-in-Chief) and the Commodore American Stout.

But because no one does Disney like Disney, the space will also be used as a three-barrel “research and development” brewery, meaning it will brew its own beer, so park goers will have access to exclusive, limited-edition beers offered only at Disneyland.

The space also includes a spacious outdoor beer garden and rooftop patio, as well as a full-menu of locally inspired cuisine including pretzel bites with Sculpin beer cheese, vegan options like Soyrizo & Roasted Cauliflower Tacos (you think Cinderella would be vegan?), and even kid-friendly options. Yes, Ballast Point Brewery is kid-friendly.

Open until midnight, Ballast Point Brewery sounds like the spot to unwind after a long day of waiting in lines and posing for pictures with your kids’ favorite Disney characters.

(Headed to Disney World instead? Maybe they’ll host another bourbon trail like they did last summer.)
