If it floats, flies or fornic—er, drives, it’s cheaper to rent it.

Today, you can add motorcycles to that list, thanks to Jupiter’s Motorcycles, a “MotoShare” membership program now open for enrollment.

Jupiter’s is to motos what Zipcar is to autos, and they’re taking memberships now for this weekend’s DTLA launch.

Started last year in NYC, Jupiter’s program works quite simply. You pay a monthly membership of $49 for access to all their hogs.

The downtown location — at Joe’s Garage next to the ACE Hotel — is renting a Ducati. In the coming months, they’ll add Triumphs and Moto Guzzis to their facility in Venice Beach (check out the full roster right here).

All you need to join is a state-issued motorcycle license, and you’ll also get access to their NYC fleet. Pro tip: it’s tough to beat a cruise up the Hudson River Valley in early autumn.

There are also plans to offer gear, but if you need something stat, we suggest heading to AETHER on La Brea for padded jackets and smart, top-of-the-line helmets.

The PCH awaits.
