Meet Alexis Ren, Maxim’s Latest Cover Girl

Not just any fashion model gets on the cover of Maxim magazine. But Alexis Ren isn’t just any old model. She’s part of a wave of internet-savvy Instagram personalities who build their own fanbases.

Her latest video post on the social media site, in which she seductively crawls through the sand in a pink bikini has been up for 23 hours and has already amassed 2.8 million views.

The 20-year-old model told Maxim: “Confidence is what people tend to gravitate toward, and also, obviously, sex. I don’t consider that a bad thing, though. If a woman likes to post about her body, that doesn’t make her a slut, desperate, or dumb. It still blows my mind we are stuck in that perception of womanhood. It’s 2017. Come on, people!” (Emily Ratajkowski would be proud.)
