Surfing at Camel Point in Morocco

Wash away the February blues with a quick getaway to Morocco … at least in the video below. The country has been a surfing magnet for decades, known for its right-hand breaks and ideal year-round conditions.

Among the handful of beloved surfing spots on the northwest African coast, Camel Point is arguably the most welcoming. The sheltered beach, dotted with camels, makes it a perfect spot for types of surfers.

A trio of young surfers—Tessa Simmons, Kala Buthman, and Kyle Buthman—were in Spain when they noticed the surf forecasts and decided to head south to Camel Point. The trio filmed their 10-day journey in Morocco, capturing the stunning tubes and impressive longboard rides. Watch it below.
