Can These Adidas Sambas Kick It? Yes They Can.

The iconic sneaker gets the premium treatment

On par with the Adidas’ iconic Stan Smith line, the Samba is a brand-defining piece of footwear that has gone through a number of design adjustments since being unveiled in 1950.

It’s time for one more.

Launching on May 5th, the Samba MIG (the “MIG” standing for “made in Germany”) features the original shoe’s soccer-inspired silhouette and a few upgraded features like premium suede on the toe paneling, an elongated tongue made of molded premium leather and a translucent gum outsole. The kind of small details sneakerheads can appreciate.

Pricing for the Samba MIGs isn’t available yet, but we’re guessing the retooled classic look and German production will make the shoes worth the squeeze.

If you’d like to score yourself a pair of the goal talliers, head to Adidas on Thursday, May 5th.
