The GAP-owned subsidiary, while a trusted business-casual stalwart, isn’t often associated with the cutting-edge of fashion, but the “Athletics” collection is surprisingly successful in its informal and generous cuts, thanks in part to the relaxed tailoring cues it’s borrowed from modern street style. A collation of archival looks and modern sensibly, it’s a refreshing proposal from the brand.
The best part? We can actually see ourselves wearing the entirety of the collection. With spring-ready zip polos and insignia-emblazoned blazers, the very informal formalwear plays well with everything from spring chinos to casual sneakers. It’s got the classic ivy hits for the conservative dresses, but pieces like a handsome pleated short or silk scarf for the sartorially daring, as well.
