It sounds too good to be true.
The Eiffel Tower is beautiful. But visiting the Paris icon sort of sucks: long lines, cumbersome (and sadly necessary) security. The view from the top is great, but you can get more or less the same vantage point — with the tower itself actually in your viewfinder — from the Tour Montparnasse or even up on the hill in Montmartre.
This, though. This changes everything.
Welcome, Perrier Smash. If the name didn’t give it away, it’s a promotion linked to the French Open — taking place right now on the city’s western edge. Sponsor Perrier wanted to bring some of the excitement to the center of town — and Perrier Smash makes good on it. Climb to the tower’s second floor (not to the very top — tragically not an option) and you’ll zoom along a zipline above the Champs de Mars to the roof of the nearby Ecole Militaire.
Top speeds? Around 55 miles per hour.
A pretty good deal, if you ask us.
In town? Looking to claim your spot? Sign up on Perrier’s promotion site. And don’t dally. Just like at Roland Garros, the fun goes until the end of the week.
