All credit to the Mouse House: Generally when they do something at Disney World, the Imagineers do it right. Their latest lodging project — a “glamp” inspired by the homes of pioneers settling in the Pacific Northwest, albeit one with decidedly more amenities — fits the bill.
The Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at the Wilderness Lodge does what Disney lodging does best: channel a time and a place into their accommodations, with even small details picking up on the theme. According to Disney, the room offerings range from “deluxe studios” to 26 waterfront cabins, all with wraparound porches, and all offering a “rustic-elegant vibe.” (No, really, that’s their language.) Guests here will also have access to two pools, one of which includes a 67-foot waterslide built — pioneers prefer their waterslides exceptionally high, it seems.
When it’s time to travel out of the PNW to the Magic Kingdom, no need to hitch a wagons to a beast of burden of choice: a riverboat taxi is available for trips upriver, to the park’s entrance.
Kids could do worse.
