Vans Is Making Weather-Proof Sneakers Now

Do it. Jump in the puddle.

During festival season, there are rules to abide by if you want to make it through to next year:

Avoid stepping foot in porta-potties as long as possible and never touch anything when you do, don’t eat the brown acid under any circumstances and — whatever else you do — mind your shoes.

There’s hand sanitizer and thorazine to assist those who break the first two rules and now, courtesy of a team-up between Vans and Schoeller, we’ve got festival-proof footwear.

Crafted from WB-400 — a soft-shell fabric that’s made by bonding a weather-resistant outer layer, an insulated middle layer that provides wind protection and a breathable inner layer that’s soft to the touch — the shoes in the Vans x Schoeller collection bead water away like champs.

“Schoeller is committed to developing functional fabrics that utilize the latest ecologically-based techniques, blended with fresh design,” according to the description. “This collection with Vans delivers on Schoeller’s pledge to provide protection and durability against harsh weather conditions.”

Available in Mid Skool Lite, Authentic ’66 Lite and OG Authentic styles, the collection drops on March 25th at select dealers across the continental U.S., Hawaii and Guam with pricing TBD.
