Corduroy is one of the great fall and winter fabrics. It’s also nigh impossible to get right. The problem is that most brands trot it out every time the leaves change simply because it’s expected, not because they’ve produced a thoughtful garment worthy of wearing on a regular basis.
Flint and Tinder is bucking the trend with the new 365 Corduroy Pants, available now in both straight and slim styles. Instead of slapping some cords together and heading off to the pumpkin patch, Huckberry’s in-house brand took its trusty 365 Pant, which we’ve called the most versatile pants in our dresser, and mixed in the fabric without losing any of the original design’s many benefits.
What’s the problem you have with your cords now? It’s probably one three things: they’re stiff, too warm or styled on the wrong side of gauche. Flint and Tinder addressed all of these issues by adding a bit of spandex for stretch, using an 8-ounce blended fabric so it won’t weigh you down and keeping the same contemporary silhouette as the original (with both slim and straight available).
Unlike the rest of the corduroy you have in your closet, these thankfully won’t pass muster at a ‘60s or ‘70s theme party. But they may just be the one to burst out of the fall and winter season and creep into your wardrobe come spring.
We've put in the work researching, reviewing and rounding up all the shirts, jackets, shoes and accessories you'll need this season, whether it's for yourself or for gifting purposes. Sign up here for weekly style inspo direct to your inbox.
