Like Fu Manchus and mutton chops, not every man is capable of pulling off a successful one-night stand.
But there is a way to improve your odds. And it involves your facial hair.
A new study surveying 8,500 women about the facial hair style they find most attractive on a potential sexual partner revealed “heavy stubble” as the top pick, Gentleman’s Journal reports.
Participants were asked to examine photosets of 16 men with differing degrees of facial hair and asked to assign a score to each, as well as if they’d consider having a relationship with the man. Stubble was the top pick for both relationships and hookups. Beards also rated highly but were more closely associated with long-term relationships.
While that sounds good, we’re taking the results with a grain of salt given the facial hair of choice of the study’s author, Dr. Barnaby Dixson of University of Queensland, may have tampered with the results.
