If you’re like us, you’re always struggling to find the right pair of shoes. You want something classy, natch, but also complementary to your personal style.
We say make your own.
And no need to learn the art of the cordwainer. Just use Undandy, a site that offers up almost infinite customization of dress shoes and sneakers.
The Portuguese company allows users to shape and personalize their footwear via a simple and addictive 3D modeling tool.
To start:
Select your style. Start with broader looks: Puff, round or claw toe, casual or dress, boot or sneaker. From there, you’re narrowing it down to, say, a chukka, oxford or a chelsea boot.
Play around with color, material and decorations. Cap toe? Chocolate-y calf leather? You’ll be choosing materials and colors through different “zones” of the shoe, as well as your preferred engraving. It’s about ten steps. Get weird if you want to.
Order. Prices are around $200 and up.
You’ll get your shoes, sorry, “sole mates” in two weeks.
And free returns if you don’t like ‘em.
And if you don’t … well, you only have yourself to blame.
