In an NFL first, diehard Buffalo Bills fans Mackenzie Park and Jordan Binggeli will be married on the 50-yard line at halftime today (Sept. 29) during the Bills’ game against the New England Patriots.

The wedding will happen in front of 70,000 fans at New Era Field — fitting for the couple, who had their first date at a Bills game in 2008. The pair also got engaged at a Bills game, with Binggeli proposing to Park by saying, “You’ve intercepted my heart. Let’s tackle the world together. Will you marry me?”

Park and Binggeli, who live in Rochester, beat out nearly 1400 other couples to win the Bills’ “Halftime Wedding Experience of a Lifetime” contest.

“It’s the icing on the cake,” Park said about the halftime wedding ceremony. “It’s the touchdown. It’s a Hail Mary and we scored with no seconds left. We won.”

Former Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams will officiate the wedding, and as CBS reports, “other Bills legends will be guests at the halftime (wedding) ceremony.” The ceremony will be the first to ever take place during an NFL game.

The couple will also be profiled on CBS at noon EST ahead of the 1 p.m. kickoff against the Patriots. Check out a photo of the happy couple below.
