If you want an interview with O.J. Simpson, it’s going to cost you seven figures. But for a sharp discount—just $15,000—you can nab one with Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.
Yes, that’s right, according to Vice Sports, the Ball family is now charging $15K per interview with the young Laker—who posted a horrendous stat line last night.
These, of course, account for any interview given beyond his obligatory media appearances for the Lakers. As Vice writes, “The very fact of that absurd fee reveals more than Lonzo, with his piercing stare and cliche-ridden answers ever would—it reveals the ethic that they insist we understand: no stone un-monetized.”
LaVar Ball, Lonzo’s father, has been banking on his son’s salability since he donned a UCLA uniform. Ball thinks he’s worth a cool billion. And don’t expect any less for future Ball breakout, LaMelo.
