The Carpenter Field Watch Is the Handsome Throwback You Need

Great watch. Fair price. Interested?

Wear a Rolex or an Omega, and people will be impressed.

But they won’t be surprised. They’ll never ask — with a measure of envy — “Say, where’d you get that?”

For that, you need an unknown entity. Something like the M11 Brooklyn Field, the newest knockout ticker from Brooklyn’s Carpenter Watches.

Known for their field-inspired mechanical watches, Carpenter produces all its editions in extremely limited runs. This model is the eleventh off the press (hence M11), and there are only 75 pieces available. That means you need to act fast.

The M11 is a classic face design cast in a 40mm brass case with matching polished brass hands. (Compare with the previous edition — the stainless steel M10 — of which there are a just a few still available.)

Logistically, the M11s are working with a Japanese Miyota 821A jewel automatic movement with a concise date wheel and solid go-anywhere brown leather strap. All in all, it’s perfect for fall at a very practical $625.

Given the price, these limited-edition classics always fly off the shelves.

Time waits for no man.
