Does your city have 5G?

Your phone probably doesn’t support the upgraded cellular tech — which has an estimated 100 times the capacity of 4G but also comes with some big privacy concerns — and that probably won’t change in the near future.

However, the major carriers are already rolling out the upgraded network in select areas of big cities, and Digital Trends has mapped those places out (but only accounting for mobile 5G, not broadband 5G or misleading branding like AT&T’s 5G E).

5G Explained: The Good, the Bad and the Privacy Issues

The maps include current and intended 5G coverage for AT&T (currently only for business customers) and the not-as-widespread usage for Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, which actually does have a larger 5G base for regular consumers.
