You could start your own Hollywood film museum (or enviable man-cave) with some of the items from this auction. In this online-only sale ending on Jan. 26, Los Angeles–based Nate D. Sanders Auctions is offering up a number of iconic film costumes, including the one that Michael Keaton wore as Batman in 1992’s Batman Returns ($35,000 starting bid) and the late Christopher Reeve’s Superman costume from the 1978 classic ($40,000 starting bid). (At press time, there are no bids on either one.)
Also included in the sale is a grey cotton jacket worn by Bruce Lee ($20,000); a black jacket worn by “The Duke” himself, John Wayne, in his Republic Pictures films ($10,000); and screen-worn jeans from Steve McQueen, which he donned in The Sand Pebbles ($6,000; McQueen landed an Oscar nomination for his role in it).
