Not since Ben McKenzie rolled into the Cohens’ Newport manor has a pool house looked quite so covetable. What this one lacks in 2003-vintage Mischa Barton, it makes up for in chilled-out cedar siding and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that creates a seamless transition from indoor living space to outdoor lamping space.
The 945-square-feet structure, designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is the pool-centric addition to a suburban residence in nearby Springdale. The vibe inside is super-loose, with casual sleeping arrangements: instead of bedrooms, guests are dispatched to a row of a half-dozen bunk beds, each with built-in storage space.
It’s perfect for guests with low expectations of privacy.
