The Bunkie is a pre-fab dwelling designed to combat “overflow living.” It’s essentially a second home. Or an office. Or just a really nice gazebo.
The Bunkies are 8.5’ wide x 12.5’ deep x 11. 5’ high mini-cottages shipped flat-packed and constructed like a piece of furniture (or “giant jigsaw puzzle”), using everyday tools.
Inside: a multi-functional living space.
You can get a queen-sized Murphy bed, a small dining table with chairs, a series of shelves and cabinets and an ethanol-burning fireplace, all of which can be moved or integrated into the structure, depending on your intended use.
Still, this isn’t a piece of IKEA — and the cost and construction-times attest to its luxury. The model will need to be assembled by the Bunkie team and your yard/abode prepped in advance. Estimated assembly time is 1-2 days.
But hey, at least you’ll have a new place to put up the hired help.
