Over the course of his career as a professional race car driver, Juan Manuel Fangio established himself as one of the greatest of all time. He was hailed by his peers on the Formula 1 circuit and by automotive enthusiasts around the world — and set a number of records that have yet to be broken.

Some of Fangio’s triumphs came when he was driving for Maserati, which he did from 1952 through 1954, and again in 1957. Now, the automaker has honored the legendary driver with a pair of special editions. Autoblog reports that the automaker just announced the Ghibli F Tributo and Levante F Tributo — both of which are designed to pay homage to Fangio.

The yellow used in the pair of F Tributos was designed to echo the color of the 250F that Fangio raced in 1954. Other aspects of the special editions also hearkens back to Maserati’s history: the blue color the cars will be available in is associated with Maserati’s home of Moderna, while the red has a long association with Italy’s racing culture.

The special editions are based on the GranSport, and offer a turbocharged V6 engine. A total of 345 of both models will be available worldwide, with an on-sale date in North America of June of this year.
