Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has given $3 million to Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp, an organization whose mission is to educate, empower and mobilize “the next generation of change leaders.”

The donation will help “advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization to elevate the next generation of change leaders,” according to Dorsey.

Prior to Dorsey announcing his gift to Kaepernick’s group, Reed Hastings, the billionaire founder of Netflix, said he would be donating $1 million to the Center for Policing Equity, a group that does research into police reform.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai previously announced that the tech giant will provide $12 million in funding to organizations working to address racial inequities.

“I realize that nothing about this week feels like business as usual—and it shouldn’t,” Pichai said in an email to employees on Wednesday. “Our Black community is hurting, and many of us are searching for ways to stand up for what we believe, and reach out to people we love to show solidarity.”

Google also held a moment of silence for eight minutes and 46 seconds to honor Black lives lost in America. That’s the amount of time former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin had George Floyd pinned to the ground by his neck as he died.
