Though he’s yet to officially make it, Rob Gronkowski’s anticipated “big announcement” is expected to be about him partying, not playing.

In an Associated Press story that was released early Tuesday, the 30-year-old announced he would be in Miami for the Super Bowl this February to host the “GRONK BEACH” festival.

The festival will take place on the Saturday before the big game, meaning the three-time Super Bowl champ wouldn’t be able to attend walk-throughs or team meetings with the Patriots (should they make it that far), effectively ending any speculation that Gronkowski will be returning to football this season.

“I may not be playing the game this year, but I will still be going to Miami and I’m going to be debuting my very own music festival and its Gronk Beach,” Gronkowski told The AP. “I mean, you can’t ask for any other situation that better than that. Bring some wildness, some fun, to bring a music festival to Miami and not just on top of Miami, at the Super Bowl. It’s really never been done like that before.”

The luau-themed festival will include fire twirlers and hula dancers and feature performers including Rick Ross, Flo Rida, DJ Carnage, Kaskade, Diplo and 3LAU. Tickets go on sale Thursday at www.GronkBeach.com starting at $149.99.

Though it wasn’t realistic that Gronkowski would return to the Patriots, the team could certainly use him as New England has really struggled to score points in his absence, only putting up 17 on Sunday in a win over the Eagles.
