After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a thrilling come-from-behind victory and bringing home the city’s first Super Bowl title in 50 years, Patrick Mahomes is the Super Bowl LIV MVP.

The quarterback entered the fourth quarter trailing the San Francisco 49ers 20-10 before leading the Chiefs’ offense to a 31-20 win in the game’s final six minutes. He finished the game 26-of-42 for 286 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, with 29 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

At 24 years and 138 days old, Mahomes becomes the youngest player in NFL history to have an MVP award, a Super Bowl MVP award and a Super Bowl championship.

“We never lost faith. That’s the biggest thing,” he told FOX’s Chris Myers after the game. “Everybody on this team, no one had their head down, and we believed in each other. That’s what we preached all year long.”

“We weren’t executing at a high-enough level and you play a defense like that, you’re not going to have much success,” he added later. “I’m just glad our guys kept fighting and we found a way to get it in the end.”
