Of the top 100 cities listed of the most polluted in the world, India leads with 22 cities in the top 30. The study, however, noted that though China and countries in South Asian are most affected, air pollution is a global issue.
According to a report from AirVisual, air pollution is likely to cause around 7 million premature deaths- and a major impact to global economies, CNN reports.
These are the top ten most polluted cities:
1. Gurugram, India
2. Ghaziabad, India
3. Faisalabad, Pakistan
4. Faridabad, India
5. Bhiwadi, India
6. Noida, India
7. Patna, India
8. Hotan, China
9. Lucknow, India
10. Lahore, Pakistan
