Colbert Buys Times Square Billboard to Win Trump’s ‘Corrupt Media Award’

Late-night host says he “desperately wants President Trump’s disapproval.”

Late-night host Stephen Colbert bought a billboard in Times Square to campaign for consideration of President Trump’s “most dishonest and corrupt media awards of the year.”

The CBS comedian bought the billboard — and an ad on Twitter — to make sure he wouldn’t get “snubbed.”

“Personally I’m excited for the most dishonest and corrupt media awards of the year or as we call them in the biz, ‘The Fakies,’” Colbert told his audience Wednesday night. ”Because nothing gives you more credibility than Donald Trump calling you a liar.”

President Trump tweeted that he’d be announcing his picks for the “awards” this coming Monday. Take a look at the clip below.
