Kendall Jenner, the highest-paid model in the world, has pulled back a bit from the grind of being at the top of the modeling world after years of work. This has allowed her to focus in on other things she enjoys, like horse-back riding. Kendall, an accomplished rider, has always felt connected to sensitive creatures, a new profile in Vogue explains, because Kendall suffered from severe acne as a kid and had trouble making friends. The star got her first pony when she was 10, and as a young teenager, she helped out a woman who owned several horses. Then in ninth grade, Kendall got popular: she became a cheerleader, got a boyfriend and stopped riding. She told Vogue it was the “worst thing I ever did.” But in 2017, after years of work with no real break, she was suffering from debilitating anxiety and mysterious, intense neck pain. She dreaded getting on plans. So she got a horse, Belle, and a while later, got another, Dyl. She also committed to Transcendental Meditation. Vogue writes that Jenner, a tomboy who collects vintage cars, prefers sneakers and jeans and a hoodie, is currently dating Blake Griffin, the Detroit Pistons forward (though she refuses to confirm this fact). She has the mindset of someone much older. “At the end of our life,” she told Vogue, “you’re not going to care that you worked every day and you made this much money. You’re going to care about the relationships that you’ve built and the bonds that you have and the love that you’ve created. That’s what you’re going to care about. That’s my whole thing: what you leave behind.”
