Google Has 360° Hidden Worlds of the National Parks Tours

If you’d like to visit Alaska’s Kenai Fjords, Hawaii’s Hawai’i Volcanoes, New Mexico’s Carlsbad Caverns, Utah’s Bryce Canyon and Florida’s Dry Tortugas in one day, you don’t need a private jet.

All you need is an internet connection.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, Google just launched on-demand video tours that allow users to visit the five parks using the magic of 360-degree technology.

To make them more appealing, “The Hidden Worlds of the National Parks” tours are virtually guided by actual park rangers who offer commentary and provide insights about what users see.

“I know not everyone is fortunate enough to spend their days in the wilderness,” Yosemite Park Ranger Shelton Johnson wrote in a blog post. “That’s why I’m excited that anyone can get a taste of the American wilderness, no matter where they are.”

So tighten your boots, fill up your Camelbak, get the gorp at the ready and go visit a National Park.
