Jack Bauer may return to save the world — again. Sources confirmed to Variety that a prequel to the hit show 24 is in the works. Showrunner Howard Gordon and original series co-creators Joel Surnow and Bob Cochran are working on a new iteration focusing on young Bauer. The project is still in early phases and there is no word on when, if ever, it will air.
I am so excited by Jack Bauer I’m unable to spell Kiefer. Oh well

If the project does move forward, it’ll be the third time Fox has attempted to relaunch the franchise. The original 24 aired from 2002-2010, with Kiefer Sutherland as Bauer. In 2014, Fox brought the show back through a limited series called 24: Live Another Day. Then, they had Corey Hawkins star as an entirely new character, Eric Carter, in 24: Legacy.
I love 24 and Jack Bauer, but please, let them rest in peace | Television & radio | The Guardian https://t.co/fVfXf8hl8E
