That right there is a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang fastback.
Also known as: Eleanor, at least to those of us who first drooled over her while watching Nic Cage do the same in the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds.
And just like that film, this take on Eleanor might just be better than the original.
It’s a continuation model delivered courtesy of Oklahoma-based Classic Recreations, who do handcrafted takes on both the 1967 and ‘68 editions of one of America’s greatest muscle cars.
The supercharged models boast more than $25k in upgrades, including a 427-cubic-inch Ford Performance engine with a Procharger F1-R and 545 HP. CR’s revamped models have also been modified with rack and pinion steering, hefty disc brakes, racing suspensions and authentic Shelby Performance parts.
The fuel-injected GT500’s are the most powerful vehicles that Classic Recreations has tuned up to date, each one listed on the Shelby Registry with pricing starting at $169,000.
For slightly less than that — $143,800 — you can buy the one Cage piloted in Gone via Auto Trader.
Remember: “The car is you, you are the car. Okay? Let’s ride!”
