How Atlantis Bahamas Sets the Standard for COVID-Era Safety and Booking
You want to book with confidence. At Atlantis Paradise Island, you will.
Whether you’re looking to escape winter’s chill and work remotely from somewhere sunny, or if you just really want to book that first post-COVID getaway that seems to finally be on our collective horizon, allow this correspondent to throw a suggestion your way: Atlantis Paradise Island.
This premier Bahamas’ resort is currently hosting a January Sale offering 21% off sitewide savings, making right now the perfect time to book your 2021 getaway. Atlantis is a can’t-miss proposition for reasons both myriad and compelling. To wit …
Safety Is Priority Number One
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlantis has instituted the “Clean & Safe Promise,” a comprehensive set of protocols developed in partnership with the WHO, CDC and The Bahamian Ministry of Health to ensure the health, safety and comfort of their guests. Long story short, Atlantis is taking this stuff very seriously. From staff health screenings and PPE to innovative disinfection technologies to contactless check-in and spaces reimagined for social distancing, the Atlantis Safety and Cleanliness Council is setting the bar for what a luxury experience should look like during times like these. So if you’re looking for that extended workcation (and with deals like this, we’re certainly considering it), you’re in good hands.

It’s Beautiful This Time of Year (And Close!)
Not for nothing, but while much of the States is suffering through Nor’easters and driveway-shoveling weather, The Bahamas is enjoying its best weather of the year — minimal rain, lots of sunshine and balmy temps sans the higher humidity of summer months. Not to mention the fact that it’s one of the more accessible getaways out there, with flights as short as three hours and change from New York.
There Is a Ton to Do for Everyone
First, it bears noting that Atlantis is a member of the “Paradise Island Safe Zone,” a four-resort consortium that have all adopted the same stringent safety and cleanliness standards. That being said, the amount of on-site activities Atlantis has to offer virtually guarantees that you’ll have no reason to leave the premises. From world-class golf with stunning views of sapphire waters to four-star dining cheffed by the likes of José Andrés and Nobu Matsuhisa to aquatic adventures and top-shelf spa treatments, there’s something to keep everyone thoroughly entertained. They’ve even got a special family “Schoolcation” package geared towards making recess breaks between virtual learning sessions a more fun and educational (and turtle-filled) experience for the youngsters.
Changing Up Bookings Is Super Easy
Flexibility is key in uncertain times, and thus Atlantis has instituted a 72-hour cancellation policy — so you can book freely secure in the knowledge that should your plans change for whatever reason, you’re all good.
For individuals returning to the United States, Atlantis will provide a total of two (2) free Rapid Antigen Tests per room for registered guests of The Royal, The Cove, The Reef and The Coral hotels. A minimum night stay is not required. Testing excludes Harborside Resort reservations, Reef Owner reservations, Marriott Bonvoy Redemption reservations, Marriott Associate reservations, and Caesar Gold Casino reservations.
