They may not break bones like sticks and stones but words, especially insulting ones that are delivered in incredibly popular Marvel films, can hurt.
Despite fame, fortune and a namesake movie, David Beckham is not immune to feeling that pain, which is why Ryan Reynolds, clad in full Deadpool regalia, stopped by to apologize to him in a new video.
His reason for an apology? In Deadpool, Reynolds said Beckham’s high-pitched speaking voice sounds as if he “mouth-sexed a can of helium.”
To help clear the air before Deadpool 2 comes out next week, Reynolds thought it’d be prudent to say sorry to Beckham but, despite offering everything from cookies to a mariachi band, his apology fell on deaf ears.
At least that was the case until Reynolds popped out a pair of World Cup tickets and said: “I can’t wait to not watch Italy play the Netherlands.” After that, Beckham was willing to hug it out.
