They first did so in 2018 with a limited-edition capsule collection dedicated to the Yankees, the team Ralph Lauren himself has been rooting for since his childhood in the Bronx.
Now the two icons have expanded upon their previous offerings to include pieces that’ll satisfy fans of the Cubs, Cardinals and Dodgers as well. Unlike most sports merch you’re accustomed to, Ralph Lauren’s offers an elevated take on the idea, splashing smart polos with the teams’ logos or embroidering them with the iconic Polo Bear outfitted in their respective uniforms as he tosses a pitch. If you tend to get more rowdy at games and don’t want to run the risk of ruining a good shirt, there are more casual yet equally handsome styles available, including sweatshirts, hoodies and a classic baseball cap, complete with Ralph Lauren’s signature scrawled on the brim.
The piece de resistance of the collaboration is undoubtedly the satin jackets (only available for Yankees, Cubs and Dodgers — sorry Cards fans), which reference vintage baseball and varsity jackets and are the perfect way of showing others you’re not only serious when it comes to repping your team, but looking good doing it.
