There are days when you need to be alone.

Preferably in a beautiful forest retreat built with your own hands.

In that sense, you’re not alone. Many people feel like you do.

And they’ve done something about it.

These adventurous souls are profiled in Cabin Porn, a beautiful new compendium of quiet retreats and magical homes away from home, available now.

Based off a popular blog started by Vimeo co-founder Zach Klein — which has amassed pictures and stories of over 12,000 DIY cabins, huts and treehouses over the past six years — this 336-page tome promises to provide “an inspiration for your quiet place somewhere.”

Below, a few of our favorite shelters.
