OtterBox Challenges Yeti With Its Own Line of Soft Coolers

Shots fired!

A little under a year after launching its customizable hard coolers, OtterBox is taking a softer approach. Unveiled this week, the Trooper 20 and LT 30 are a pair of new soft-sided coolers that have been engineered to be heavily resistant to water, UVs, chemicals and punctures.

Named for the number of quarts they can hold, both coated nylon coolers offer 72 hours of ice retention. The difference, of course, comes down to size, and the fact that  the 20 is best carried on the shoulder while the LT 30 can be outfitted with either a backpack mount or removable shoulder strap.

Both sizes offer large openings for easy loading and quick access. Meanwhile, exterior pockets mean added storage for other comestibles. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the customizable coolers range in price from $250-$350.
