Do a Good Deed, Save on Handsome Leather Kicks

Feit is offering a discount for helping the homeless

A good deed, they say, is its own reward.

Thanks to an ongoing partnership between shoe label Feit, The Bowery Mission, the New Museum and the International Center of Photography Museum, it’s also a way to get new shoes.

For the third straight year, the Bowery Shoe Drive is offering a 20% discount on a new pair of kicks to anyone who donates their used shoes to help one of New York City’s 61,000 homeless residents.

Donators — who can turn in their gently worn shoes at the coat check at the New Museum, the ICP Museum or at either of Feit’s New York retail locations — will also receive complimentary one-day admission at both of the museums as well as a 10% discount in the ICP shop.

If you’re unfamiliar with Feit, the Australian brand is known for their devilishly handsome handmade sneakers and boots. We’re partial to the Hand Sewn Low, but your closet would do well with any of the offerings.

To make it even easier to donate, Feit is also offering the discount online. To take advantage, simply enter the member’s code SHOEDRIVE at checkout to receive 20% off your order. Once that’s done, Feit will send you a UPS return label via email to use with the old pair. You don’t even have to worry about packing them up. Feit will take back the box your new pair came in.

Already well underway, the Bowery Shoe Drive will run continuously until January 1st, 2018.
