Remember that time in college when you were too, uh, tired to make it out of your dormitory and down the block to the local pizza joint?
Xavier University remembers.
And thusly, just in time for the start of the school year, the university has officially debuted the country’s first Pizza ATM.
That’s on-demand pizza. From a vending machine. On a college campus.
We know what you’re thinking: the ol’ college days were good, but never this good.
Open 24/7, the machine fits 70 pizzas at a time. According to Journal News, upon choosing toppings from a touch screen, the machine — which comes by way of France — will fire up a pie at 475 degrees. Then it gets boxed up and ejected through a slot and into your hands within three minutes of ordering.
We’ve never been to Xavier, but we’re guessing that’s less than walking from the quad to the nearest pizza joint. And while we’ve never had fresh pizza from a vending machine, we’re guessing you’ll be seeing more of these Pizza ATMs in the future.
Let’s just hope they graduate from college campuses.
The rest of us gotta eat, too.
