Apparently There’s a Secret Version of Tinder for People Who Are Really Good at Tinder

Haven't heard of it? Are you beautiful and/or rich?

The reason celebrities end up dating each other might not just be because they have better looks, it may be because they have better dating apps.

For at least the past six months, the most eligible bachelors, bachelorettes and cheaters of both sexes have been connecting on a version of Tinder that isn’t available to the unwashed masses.

Geared towards users such as “CEOs, supermodels, and other hyper-attractive/upwardly affluent types,” the elite version — called Tinder Select — is currently being used by “celebrities and people who do really well on Tinder,” a source using the invite-only service told TechCrunch.

Tinder itself serves as the gatekeeper for the service and selects who gets an invitation, but it will allow users who are already through the door to nominate others for inclusion, though grounds for acceptance and rejection remain unclear (tiger selfies probably don’t help).

While it’s an intriguing, although not all that surprising, piece of news, we wouldn’t get too bent out of shape about Tinder keeping the service a secret.

More fish in the sea for everyone else.
