Ferrari Go-Kart Track on Norwegian Cruise Lines New Boat

In a move members of the International Shuffleboard Association may have a problem with, a new cruise ship is getting a race track.

Specifically, a two-level track featuring Ferrari-designed go-karts that can hit up to 40 MPH.

Once it’s built on Norwegian Cruise Lines’ new Norwegian Joy, as many as 10 drivers will be able to zip around the Ferrari-branded track in electric karts decked out in standard Prancing Horse red.

Based in China, the soon to be unveiled 3,850-passenger vessel will also feature a trackside store peddling Ferrari watches and an indoor pavilion with an array of virtual reality experiences. With a number of other offerings including an open-air laser tag course, hovercraft bumper cars, multi-story waterslides and a casino, a trip aboard the 168,800-ton ship sounds like a helluva time.
