Kandersteg is a Swiss mountain village of just over 1,000 people located on the Kander River. And if you go there, you can take a toboggan down the mountain. The Oeschinensee Rodelbahn offers a 2,460-foot-long toboggan ride that allows you to savor the extraordinary natural beauty of the Swiss Alps. Provided, of course, you even notice them, since you’ll be focused on the adrenaline rush of hurtling down the mountain.

For more information on the Oeschinsee, go here. Those looking for slower experiences can rent row boats there or just hike. (The mountain coaster is open from May 7 to October 23.) In the video below, watch an entire ride shot on a GoPro camera.
