For the association, a team in Mexico City could be a tremendous windfall. The NBA would be the first American league to capitalize on the advertising and broadcasting money in North America’s biggest city. And don’t worry, Seattle fans, if the NBA expands to Mexico City, Commissioner Adam Silver will need a 32nd team to keep numbers even.
