Even when the Browns win, they still lose.
Prior to Cleveland’s 27-19 victory over Cincinnati on Sunday Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reported star wide receiver Odell Beckham has been telling opponents before games that he wants to leave the Browns.
“Throughout this year, Odell Beckham has actually told other players and coaches before games, during games, ‘Hey, come get me. come get me out of here,’” Glazer said on Fox’s pregame show. “Remember, it was not Odell’s choice to go to the Cleveland Browns. He got traded there … I don’t see that relationship ending well for them after this year.”

Prior to Cleveland’s win, it was also reported that Beckham, who can opt-out of his $90 million contract prior to next season, has battled a “painful sports hernia injury” all season.
He has just 59 catches for 844 yards this season and is averaging a career-low 67.1 yards per game in 2019.
When quarterback Baker Mayfield was asked about rumors that Beckham wants out of Cleveland following their win on Sunday, he refuted them and instead attacked the team’s medical staff for their handling of his teammate’s sports hernia.
“It wasn’t handled the right way in our training room. It is what it is,” Mayfield said after the game. “I think it could have been addressed earlier on.”
After his comment about the training staff began to garner some attention, Mayfield took to Twitter to apologize.
“My intentions were not to throw our medical staff under the bus,” he wrote. “No I don’t know all the facts about Odell’s injury. It was emotionally answered because I can sense his frustration and I care about my team and putting us in the best position to win. Those people within our building know my intentions and where I am coming from. I truly believe that and I apologize to those that don’t deserve the backlash…. today was a good team win. On to the next one.”

The “next one” for the Browns comes on Sunday in Arizona against the Cardinals.
To have any shot at making the playoffs at 9-7, Cleveland will have to win that one as well as their final two games against the Ravens and Bengals.
