Irish Rowers Give Post-Race Interview That’s Pure Gold

"Going Viral" is the only Olympic sport that matters

They didn’t win gold, but two members of Ireland’s rowing team came in first in the more critical—and lucrative — sport known as charming the Internet.

After winning silver in the men’s lightweight double sculls rowing final, brothers Gary and Paul O’Donovan gave some of the best interviews of the Olympics (all due respect to Ryan Lochte).

The cheeky brothers — who are from Cork and train in Skibbereen — joked about peeing in cups, putting on “podium pants,” and post-race pizzas in interviews with RTE.
