Trunk Club’s new NYC house of style

A man could be forgiven for putting clothes shopping near the bottom of his to-do list.

There’s the schlepping. The hovering commission-mongers. The frustrating lack of a bar.

Which is exactly why there’s a place that decided to correct all those shortcomings.

That place: Trunk Club’s new Madison Avenue “clubhouse,” now accepting clients for the most painless wardrobe upgrade since forever.

For those not in-the-know, Trunk Club’s an online concern peddling specially curated “trunks” of gear that show up on your doorstep. Keep what you like, send back what you don’t.

Now they’ve elected to join the brick-and-mortar club — in no less than the historic Villard Houses, constructed in 1884 by famed architect (and murder victim) Stanford White.

It is gorgeous.

How it works: simply email danam@trunkclub.com to set up a consult. Upon arrival, you’ll swing through the bar for a beverage, where a friendly and knowledgeable stylist will suss out your needs and personal style.

You’ll then adjourn to handsomely bedecked fitting suites designed by the likes of Billy Reid and John Varvatos, where your stylist will pull from TC’s 60+ brand lineup (from Rag & Bone to A.P.C. to Mssrs. Reid and Varvatos).

And then you will leave, possibly buzzed and definitely looking better than you did before.

And with one less item on the to-do list.
