While we’ve been patiently waiting for Status’s BT One under-$100 on-ear wireless sets — the promised November release date came and went — the NY-based company did just release the IEM 2X earbuds, which combines a 9mm dynamic driver with a balanced armature driver (something you’d see in a professional in-ear monitor and/or hearing aids). As well, Status markets itself as providing a “neutral” sound signature … meaning they’re not pumping up the bass to trick you on audio quality.
