Here’s the Three-Tap Bar Your Home Has Been Waiting For

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name

The countertop appliance, Growler Chill, has mastered Kickstarter.

With fourteen days to go, they’ve amassed nearly $500,000, which is well over their funding goal of $175,000. If averaged out, that’s $371.80 per donation.

Which is precisely what they’re hoping to charge for their equipment, which ingeniously allows users to tap up to three growlers with the exact same precision as if it had been kegged. The chrome casing and wooden tap handles looks sharp and it’ll fit on most countertops.

The video does a great job explaining how it works, so I’ll spare you the words. If you’re at all familiar with the biggest problem with the beer growler — particularly: lots of beer, but short shelf life — then know that these guys are here to solve it.

It should also give you confidence that these guys did their research, know how passionate the craft beer community is and saw an opportunity (12% of the beer market worth $22B) and acted on it with a degree of preparation that instills trust that they’ll make good on their goals.

If you’re the type of person who takes growlers home, or would if you thought you could keep it for longer, say hello to your new favorite appliance.
