Here’s how it works and where to get one

Here’s one Miyagi forgot to teach Daniel-san: how to make a bonsai float in mid-air.

Air Bonsai, from Kyushu-based design firm Hoshinchu, is currently 200% funded and counting on Kickstarter after more than a year of development.

The $200 basic set includes a magnetic floating ball with a sponge inside called a “little star” that is strong enough to support a bonsai and a handcrafted porcelain “energy base” that also contains a magnet. All DIYers have to do to get their greenery airborne is put their bonsai — or any plant that will fit — on the little star’s sponge and place it above the base.

Just keep it out of the reach of children, pets and those pesky Cobra Kai dudes.
