A year after a sex toy’s nomination for an award was revoked because the Consumer Technology Association deemed it “immoral, obscene, indecent, profane or not in keeping with CTA’s image,” a vibrator has been named as a finalist for an award at the same electronics show in Las Vegas.
The vibrator, which is made by California startup Lioness, is up for the Last Gadget Standing award at CES 2020.

Equipped with artificial intelligence, the sex toy can be controlled via an app and bills itself as the first vibrator of its kind to use data.

This is the first year sex technology products can qualify for awards or be showcased as part of the health and wellness category at CES.
The winner of this year’s award will be announced during a live event at CES on January 9.
