You’re a Tesla owner. It’s kind of like being vegan: You’re gonna announce it.
And now you can do that every time you pull out your phone.
In no way official, the “Tesla” iPhone X is the latest over-the-top accessory from the Russian luxury brand Caviar — you may remember their Putin-inspired Apple Watch. The device is not just a solar-powered shock absorber: it includes the actual iPhone, already encased in black with gold elements.
The Tesla phone is an homage to the electric car company’s founder. Quoting the site: “The development in the sphere of creating solar batteries, smart homes, equipped with such batteries and vehicles working on the electricity, is actively carried out by Elon Musk today — the main mastermind of the Tesla Company; in honor of his great innovative developments, the new Caviar phone was named.” Sure.
Apparently, only 999 of these special units are available, with one earmarked for Musk. Engraved with the phrase “Made on Earth by humans” (the phrase printed on the Tesla Roadster sent aboard SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket), the Tesla iPhone goes for about $4,000-$4,800.
