Finally, a Hammock That Doesn’t Isolate You in a Cocoon of Your Own Making

The Cloudview Hammock was made for shooting, feeling breeze

Though they clearly provide the literal opportunity to do so, hammocks often prevent their occupants from figuratively hanging out with others, because of their tendency to close over on themselves with any weight.

Sick of feeling like cocooned caterpillars during camping trips, the folks at Nemo Equipment designed a hammock that boosts occupants up instead of making them sink down.

Using spreader bars and Layflat patterning, the Cloudview Hammock props campers up into a “beach chair posture” that lets them kick back while also keeping an eye on their surroundings.

By keeping your head raised and back and legs level, the Cloudview provides the posture to socialize or work and has a drink holder and pocket to assist in whichever endeavor you pick.

Measuring 37 inches across at its widest point, the 85-inch-long hammock includes stakes, a repair kit, guy-out cord as well as a duffel-style carry sack and is priced at $170.
