Let’s Dish

The best dinner parties are the ones that involve a good story. After all, the longer Uncle Ralph regales you with his Montana fishing trip yarn, the more you get to eat his share of yams.

That’s why you’ll enjoy “Eat My Heart Out: Stories For Dinner,” a pop-up dinner party with food from the likes of Roberta’s and Gramercy Tavern, and stories from NY’s best storytellers, taking limited reservations right now.

“Heart” is a first-ever, once-only theatrical dining experience held at Brooklyn’s 120-year-old DUMBO Loft. The menu details are top secret, but performers include:

    • a Jimmy Fallon writer-slash-comedienne lamenting over one of her more regrettable tattoos, a dove.

As each story ends, the chef presents the corresponding dish, along with a word on its relation to the tale.

Tickets are limited, so grab one now off Kickstarter (don’t worry, the dinner is already a go), or cop a VIP ticket for an open bar and a chance to chat with performers before and after the show.

Inspiration for a later story, perhaps.
